Reliance Jio has announced a partnership with Microsoft; it aims to open numerous cloud data centers and one of the world’s largest Blockchain networks in India. The managing director of Reliance Jio believes that the 10-year partnership between Reliance Jio and Microsoft will offer digital solutions to the small and medium enterprises across the country. He also thinks that the network will ease the lives of 330 million Indians and create new job roles for Blockchain professionals. Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Jio, said, “Over the next 12 months, Jio will install across India one of the largest Blockchain networks in the world, with tens of thousands of nodes operational on day one.” The company wants to use Blockchain for introducing a new model for data privacy. It will help the Indians to control Indian data, especially customer data. It will also create a number of Blockchain jobs for the Indians.
