Process modeling with Appian is a versatile capability that allows you to execute business rules, manipulate data, integrate with other systems, schedule and automate processes, task users with work, and connect forms and interfaces wherever you need.
There are three different ways to initiate Appian processes from other systems: using a Web API to call the Start Process smart service or initiate a process from Appian RPA; starting a process by sending an email and by exposing process model as a webservice.
By default, each record type will have at least three views: Summary view; News view and Related Actions view.
Appian recommends configuring the record type in four phases: (1) define the source data, (2) configure your record list and list actions, (3) create your record views and related actions, and (4) configure your record-level security.
